THE ROMARE BEARDEN FOUNDATION is a nonprofit 501(c)(3) organization that was established in 1990 to preserve and perpetuate the legacy of preeminent artist Romare Bearden and to increase public awareness of and appreciation for the arts, with a particular emphasis on the African-American cultural contribution.

What will your contribution be used for? 
Contributions to the Foundation will benefit its ongoing efforts to preserve and make publicly accessible its Bearden art and archives collection, to support young and emerging artists, and to present scholarly and public programs focused on Bearden's contribution to American art.

Here are some ways in which you can help support the Romare Bearden Foundation's programs and initiatives and honor the legacy of this renowned American artist.

Donations can be for general support or earmarked for a specific program area and are fully tax-deductible to the extent allowed by current law.

The Romare Bearden Foundation's Chairman's Circle is a select group of supporters who recognize and appreciate the Foundation's mission and are committed to perpetuating Romare Bearden's artistic legacy.

Membership in the Chairman's Circle requires an annual contribution, at a minimum level of $5,000, which entitles you to receive invitations to intimate collectors' events and to receive other exciting and exclusive benefits throughout the year.
