Tour Harlem sites important to the life of visual artist Romare Bearden, with Diedra Harris-Kelley, Co-Director of the Romare Bearden Foundation. Learn about the artist while strolling through “The Village of Harlem” and Central Harlem’s most important sites. As we walk in Bearden’s shoes, we will take note of his childhood home, the block that inspired his iconic collage, “The Block,” the Schomburg Center he frequented, and the Studio Museum in Harlem that houses examples of his artworks. Your tour concludes in the Hamilton Heights Historic District, where your brunch options are plentiful and delicious!
